National Institute of Biosciences was established in 2007 with breeding of laboratory animals like rats (Strain: Sprague Dawley, Wistar) mouse (Swiss albino) and rabbits (strain: new Zealand White)

Up till now NIB has dedicated laboratory animal breeding area of about 4000 sq.ft. The facility is managed by experienced veterinarians. The facility is located at Dhagwadi 35 km from Pune on Pune Banglore highway
